A wife, mom, and dog-mom, Leslie grew up as an every-time-the-doors-open Southern Baptist in the American South. After drifting from faith in her twenties, a series of life events led her back to a deeper relationship with God. For years, she journaled little revelations on whatever paper was handy—receipts, napkins, cereal box flaps—until she felt God prodding her to write for real. Her book, Loved Anyway, tells the humorous and heartwarming story of how her love for her precocious dog helped her understand God's unconditional love. Leslie graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) and lives near Greenville, South Carolina, with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
