Allan is a retired college educator who developed and published seven editions of a college textbook showcasing projects involving Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. He has been a lifelong New England lighthouse and maritime history enthusiast who enjoys researching, writing, and sharing stories about New England lighthouses, historical events, and folklore. He has photographed all 168 New England lighthouse stations and created a lighthouse tourism site at NELights.com to share, along with lighthouse tourism books. He enjoys camping and exploring the New England coast with his wife in their travel trailer.
