About the author

Brad Hall

Dr. Brad Hall is the founder of Sengi, a boutique clinical research organization dedicated to advancing investigator-initiated trials in eye care. With more than a decade of experience guiding eye-care professionals through the complex world of clinical research, Dr. Hall is passionate about helping busy ophthalmologists and optometrists turn innovative ideas into influential published studies.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hall has worked directly with independent practitioners to design, launch, and publish investigator-initiated trials, helping them navigate everything from protocol development and IRB submissions to data analysis and manuscript preparation. His mission is to remove the barriers that prevent promising research ideas from becoming reality, empowering eye-care professionals to elevate their practices, contribute to medical knowledge, and advance patient care on a larger scale.

Dr. Hall holds a PhD in vision science and biology from the University of Waterloo, where he also earned his honours bachelor of science in biomedical science. He is ACRP-CP certified, has contributed to 50+ peer-reviewed publications, and coauthored book chapters in Ocular Rigidity, Biomechanics and Hydrodynamics of the Eye and Surgical Correction for Presbyopia: The Fifth Wave. Dr. Hall has presented at leading ophthalmology conferences across North America and Europe, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).

Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Dr. Hall now lives in New Brunswick, Canada, with his family. When he isn’t working to make clinical research more accessible, he enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors. His book, Eye-dea to Impact: A Modern Blueprint for Investigator-Initiated Trials, shares his proven strategies for helping eye-care professionals transform research ideas into meaningful results.
