John Brookland lives in the U.K. and had a 40 year career in animal welfare working for organisations in the U.K. and abroad. Since retirement he took up writing  and has written ten books on a variety of subjects ranging from memoirs of his working life with animals, true crime, social history and one on the war horses. He has also authored a popular animnal welfare blog:  https://www.animalrightsandwrongs.uk since 2017 with readers across the world. He likes to travel the world with his partner whenever posssible to view wildlife and wild places.
