Belgian artist, Maryse Alen, was born with a heart condition that induced near-death experiences of colour, intense freedom and love over a period of 25 years.
Her book, “The Colours of Freedom,” tells the story of this other reality, dealing with its loss, and the trials and adventures that led to rediscovery and a liberating way of painting for all.
She teaches painting courses in Andalucia, where she lives with writer Guy Arthur Simpson.
