However, it does follow in a linear timeline from the first three books in the Goodwater Ranch series—The Cowboy, The Movie Star, and The Marine. It can be read alone or in order as part of a larger world.

It is a small-town, contemporary Christian romance, and most of the characters cross over into each book.
