I was brought into the world in El Paso, Texas. My father was from Juarez, Mexico, and my mother was from West Texas. I was given away at birth and raised in Montana. I earned degrees in mathematics and law from Montana State University and the University of Iowa. I also served with the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. I have a strong interest in the history of the Old West, especially when it comes to Montana. When I’m not reading or writing, I often spend time outside with my wife and son.
