But Gladys has no intention of doing so. On the contrary, she wants Violet to be sacked as soon as possible. She has too much to lose if Violet stays.

It was really interesting to read and absorb the human experience of the German occupation of Jersey in WWII, and particularly glimpses of the German perspective too.
