Raised in Southern Indiana, Gretchen has lived all over the country and recently settled in the Western Carolinas. Married to a hard-working husband, they have two wonderful adult children, and an aging furry mutt who keeps her up all night.

Gretchen grew up stealing her stepmother's English romance novels, but her love for storytelling sparked after discovering a historical Korean drama—and she's been hooked on Asian entertainment ever since. From her Spotify music selection to her tendency to channel-surf Thai and Korean shows to the dozens of manga series she reads at a time, the culture has become her passion.

That global inspiration weaves its way into her romance writing, creating heartfelt stories shaped by emotion, connection and the universal language of love.
