Why name my story The Elephant Buttons? Long ago elephants roamed our land. And when they were shot out, only their pathways were left behind. A tiny bit of that land was awarded to Nor's husband for being a soldier. They built a little cottage and made their new life together. Living in that strange place; the bush baby's cry, the great Kudu's bark and the Leopard's breathy roar scared Nor. She called for her Welsh faeries to help her and they gave her courage. Another being lived there too, "You-Know-Who"! He scared the old farmworker Frans silly. This story is about conquering fear.

Written by Izzy I truly loved this beautiful story of faeries and magic. I felt as though I were there too, walking in the hills and having tea with Nor. My Favourite character is Booka, who wouldn't love him! The Brownie Faerie who lives in the chicken house and always helps on the farm. This book truly captured my attention.
