K.A. Wiggins (Kaie) is an award-winning Canadian author of quietly subversive speculative fiction that explores the tangled webs of society, environment, and identity through intricate, dreamlike tales of monsters and magic.

​​​​​​​Her short fiction has as appeared in translation, audio adaptation, and print from leading genre publications such as Strange Horizons, Lightspeed Magazine, Pulphouse Fiction Magazine, Fantasy Magazine, Mysterion, and The NoSleep Podcast.

Best known for "eco-apocalypse + monsters in dystopian Vancouver" YA+ Dark Fantasy series Threads of Dreams, she's also the president of the Children's Writers & Illustrators of British Columbia Society, teaches with the Creative Writing for Children Society, and is an active and engaging speaker and creative educator both internationally and from her home region of the Comox Valley, BC.
