I wake in chains, inside a burned building and the only clue about my life is the man releasing me. But his words offer no comfort. He tells me I'm a phoenix shifter named Ember and now we both must fight for our lives.

Now, I'm on the run with someone I don't know, and I'm plunged blindly into the shifter underground. And my guide, the man who freed me, is a handsome ex-hunter who admits he once killed my kind.
