I was born in Los Angeles, California in 1970 and grew up in Germany.  After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California with a physics degree, I studied Spanish for a year in Madrid, Spain.  Then I joined the US Navy as an electronic technician serving six years on a nuclear powered submarine based out of Honolulu, Hawaii.  My experience took me to the Gulf of Mexico where I worked on offshore drilling rigs for another six years.  Finally, I settled down in Vietnam to start a family and learn about apparel manufacturing overseas from the inside out.
