The Duke

Bad Boy Billionaire Biker, Duke Fontaine, is a major, grade A, world class bosshole.

He's supposed to be the silent owner of the upscale bar lounge that I manage, but he's not silent at all. He's always in there, looking over my shoulder, nitpicking my work, critiquing my every move, until finally one day, I've had it up to here with him, and I threaten to quit.

(Yeah, see if you can find another general manager with an Ivy League MBA that has what it takes to make your place the hottest spot in town, like I have.)

I think my threat will finally just get him to back off, so I have no idea that challenging the alpha male biker was probably the worst thing I could have done.

Heiress Headley is a major, grade A, world class pain in Duke's ass. First, who names their kid Heiress, although he supposed some could say the same about Duke, but that's not the point.

As far as employees go, she's too young, too stubborn and way too mouthy which is why he'd been against hiring her in the first place, but his twin brother Baron, went behind his back and did it anyway, while he'd been away on business. While Duke can't deny that she's brilliant at her job, that's also the problem, because she knows how good she is, and she's not afraid to tell him. If swagger came in a girl version, Heiress would be it, and that's exactly why they clash, on everything.

He should fire her, but when she threatens to quit, she unknowingly throws down the gauntlet.
Now, instead of wanting to fire Heiress, Duke can think of another four-letter word that starts with an F that he's going to do to her—because you don't challenge a dominant, alpha bad boy biker and think you're going to get away with it.
