Patrick Baker was born in New York, grew up in the Netherlands and the United States. He had earned degrees from all three state universities in Arizona, including an M.A. in Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University, and still resides in the desert. Beyond his writerly life, he spends time as a novice metal detectorist and an amateur film critic. His short film, The Barbaric Yawp, was selected for the Zia Film Fest. Twice he was awarded for his volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona for “Most Fun Big Brother” and “Best Big Brother of the Year.” He appeared as an extra in Robert Altman’s The Player. In the 1970s, he starred in Weebles toy commercials that aired regularly on Captain Kangaroo. Patrick is known to travel to unrealistic distances for a cup of coffee. This is Patrick’s first novel. His second novel, The Vagina Triangle, will be released in 2019.
