The Flag Revelation: Proof of Providence Due to the Mysterious & Uncanny Connections of the 50 States of America, Synchronicity Illustrated
Christopher Maddish
Christopher Maddish is an expert vexillologist and a leading authority in the vibrant world of American History and flag studies. Recognized globally for his expertise, his design for the Prime Meridian flag was not only raised at the Greenwich Observatory but also received the royal endorsement from Queen Elizabeth II. As both an educator and writer, Christopher is the driving force behind Homonoia Books, a publishing company built to bring flag history to life.
For over a decade, Christopher has been a pivotal member of the North American Vexillological Association (NAVA), serving on the editorial board of Vexillum, a renowned journal in flag studies. Christopher’s mission is clear: To explore the intricate beauty and history of flags, shedding light on their profound stories and significance. His identification and naming of the “Martha Washington Flag” is a testament to his deep-seated passion and dedication to the field.
Graduating from Penn State with a BS in[KM1] biology and later earning an educational degree from Delaware Valley College, Christopher has worn many hats. He’s taught Japanese, biology, and environmental science in suburban Philadelphia. His commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering cultural understanding saw him participating in the Japanese JET Program. Beyond academia, Christopher’s service extends to volunteering with the historical Kalmar Nyckel ship, supporting the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and even the US Border Patrol. His philosophy that “Honest mistakes reveal the Firmament of Wisdom,” beautifully encapsulates his journey of discovery and enlightenment.
In his personal life, Christopher’s enthusiasm for science is unmistakable. He’s memorized the periodic table of elements and often spends his time jogging. A fervent traveler, he’s visited every train stop on the SEPTA line in Philadelphia and prides himself on having seen every municipal hall in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
