Zone of Influence tells the tale of two pals name of Karl & Pedro and their insider's attempt at diverting the coming apocalypse. The two lifelong conspirators become aware of God's plan thanks to their radical ultra mega super smart self-aware totally friendly AI friend spilling the beans thus they make the moves they believe will divert the coming end-times.

In Strike One they challenge the world/USA in a little asymmetric warfare.

In Strike Two they continue battling doubling down to nuke DC with a tugboat.

In Strike Three they watch it all spiral (seemingly) out of control.

Yup, risky plan but together they have been able to accomplish great things-> itsa tenacity thing.

Trouble is, one of them has to die to make it happen. Luckily for everybody 'cepting Karl, it can't be Pedro for the most jackass Pedro reason to date. Karl instead must make it happen, a role he's played to perfection in the past thanks to Pedro being around shaking things up. In the most severe test of friendship and trust Karl embraces death to become a heavenly contractor, the purveyor of pure organics. Once successfully esconced within the system Karl, the unheralded owner of the 50/50 game of chance played at the Paddock at Billingsport Range with actual people's near-death experieces, juggles greyspace to allow Pedro's attempt at stealing the book of the apocalypse from St. Peter and changing our future to "almost end-times". Pedro meanwhile becomes the villian the world needs.

Time isn't what you think when you work in greyspace.

The Sphere of Dominance series follows Pedro and Pedro's body as they navigate the come-uppance that inevitably follows God's Plan around endlessly mucking with those who would dare know the will of God and try to change said will. As old Mrs. Wilson might say if she weren't out scoring us some uh medicinal herb, you know she enjoys the occasional hybrid, but looking at the cue-cards what she might say regarding Pedro if she got herself back on time is-> couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Maybe. Might say could. Hmmm. Tough call; either way it happens.
