Major Weston ‘West’ Cooper of the Texas Rangers has been living his life on a steady line of service. Tracy Fagan is the General Manager of the Military City Credit Union and her life is just getting better and better, including the handsome cowboy she meets one night before a Theft Prevention Workshop. Tangling with the handsome cowboys is a risk she decides to take after living her life so carefully.

It’s only when she finds out that he’s in law enforcement that her choice seems to blow up in her face. She’s had a long-standing aversion to any man in law enforcement. Her father burned out all the love she had for men wearing the badge.

If there’s one thing that West doesn’t pay attention to are walls. He’s scaled them and he’s busted through them in his time in law enforcement. He’s going to make it pretty darn difficult for Tracy to ignore him. Even more, he’s got a plan to win her over.

That steady trajectory in their lives? Not so much anymore, but these two are as headstrong as they are capable and they’ve got the strength to hold on for the ups and downs in life. It comes down to how they deal with outside forces they can’t control.
