"The Two Songs of Exodus" is a series of epic historical novels that uncovers for the first time an alternative account of the Biblical Exodus story, told from the point of view of the Egyptians. Lain hidden for over 3000 years beneath desert sands, it is a decidedly different version of history from what has been taught in the Judaeo-Christian tradition.

In ancient times, Egypt was known as Kemet. Millennia after the Great Pyramids were built at Giza, but fifteen centuries before the time of Cleopatra, ruthless Semitic warriors from the Near East invaded Kemet and crushed the advanced civilization. The resource-rich nation was conquered and divided with native princes serving as puppet rulers for their Supreme Overlord. The Semites settled in North Kemet and held sway over the rest of the territories.

For the next hundred years, each native uprising was crushed. But at a moment of crisis, the deposed royals and nobles put aside their differences and began to work together. "The Southern Rebels" is the first book of the series that begins with events set in an elite temple based boarding school where adolescent Ahmose, a minor southern prince, meets friends who become his closest allies in the war to come, falls in love with the most unsuitable girl and makes his way to gain respect of his people and authority.

Ahmose isn't interested in the path chosen for him, the priesthood, and fate seems to agree. When his older brother King Kamose dies, he becomes heir to the South Kemet Kingdom and convinces his rivals to join him in an uprising against the foreign oppressors. It is through the eyes of six native Kemety characters, both noble and commoners and a Semitic Prince named Moses that we witness the forging of the ancient history.
