INTRODUCTION

Among the main factors determining the existence of modern society, the cultural factor is of no small importance. Each society has a certain system of patterns of behavior, traditions, values, criteria, ideas about the world, how one should behave, etc., that is, it has a culture. At the same time, each stable sphere of human activity has the same set of characteristics, without which the adequate existence of this type of activity is impossible. We have the right today to talk about the multitude of subcultures of modern society. An important among them in terms of influence and the role it plays in society is the management culture, or the culture of managerial activity.

Morality is the most important part of culture. Ethics is a philosophical science, the object of study of which is morality, morality as one of the most important forms of regulation of human behavior and groups of people in society. The practical significance of ethics is manifested primarily in the field of human communication, an important component of which is communication between people in the process of joint activities. Joint activities of people cannot be neutral in relation to morality. Historically, morality, not law, was the first form of regulation of relations between people. This form of regulation of social relations acquires special significance in modern society, in which there is no strict state control over the economic and other activities of people.

Morality determines human behavior in almost all areas of his social activity. Management activities are no exception. Effective management is unthinkable today without the knowledge of the leader of such a social science as ethics. I. Kant wrote that ethics is a springboard that allows people to rise above themselves, to free themselves from egoistic inclinations and to see a person in other persons as well. Ethics can also be a topic for a manager. the tool, thanks to which the entire process of activity is optimized, the entire spectrum of its diverse interactions in the system of social communications becomes successful.

The topic of social management (and not about the management of technical and technological systems such as the management of production processes, transport or information systems) is interconnected with the topic of power, power motivation of managers (rulers, politicians, officials, managers, administrators) and moral measurements, moral assessment of their activities. Social management in one way or another implies power over people, and not just power over things (control of a power plant, car, TV, etc.).

The aim of the manual "Social management: ethical aspects" is to master the specific features of management ethics, especially social management, the ability to operate with its concepts and categories and use them in practice. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been set: to familiarize students with the nature and essence of ethics of social management, the basic principles of introducing ethical norms, standards and requirements in the practice of social management, to give recommendations on improving the level of ethics in business behavior of managers.
