Richard Schooping
Richard Schooping and Robert Sidebottom are kindred spirits. They create songs that are not just beautiful, but meaningful. Songs are about being human: (love, compassion, harmony). Songs that leave a mark on the listener, reaching deep. Rich survived AIDS, a stroke and Depression, and more.
Rob survived Depression, addiction, jail and more.
We hope you enjoy the journey.
Through faith, gratitude, service and forgiveness I realized more than AIDS, cancer, or even a fully debilitating stroke.
Today I am utilizing traditional and alternative practices to maintain a balanced life of service.
I am grateful to still be here shining through whatever means possible. It is forgiveness, Self-love, and devotion that allows in full-body spectrum healing.
Rob was a successful business owner, but never felt at home. Always on the outside looking in trying to find his place in this life. He finally left it all behind and started living his personal journey. It started with poetry, then books, and now lyrics. Living an authentic life became his goal. Rich and Rob met by chance on Facebook, and something new was born. It was meant to be. Over the years we've collaborated on many projects, and formed the band We Are OverLap. Our goal is to change the world from where it is to one of compassion. Every song has a purpose. A meaning beyond the noise that most bands create. To us, it is not just about the music, but a true purpose. A purpose to let people see what is possible, and not just what we were taught it means to be alive. To actually just be exactly what we were born to be. We Are OverLap.
