​​​​​​​Allysa grew up on a family-owned dairy farm in West Central Wisconsin. She now owns her own hobby farm in Southern Minnesota with her husband, and their three daughters.. Their animals currently include: dairy goats, rabbits, poultry, cats, dogs, and a turtle.

Allysa has been interested in becoming an author since she started volunteering at her hometown library, back in 2005 at the age of 15. She has been volunteering/working in libraries since then.

The Fantasy series that she is currently working on was inspired by her favorite books by Lewis Carroll. Along Came a Spider, the first book in her series Wonderland, A History​​​​​​​, is now available as an ebook.
