Temur Babluani is an acclaimed Georgian film director, screenwriter, and actor from Svaneti, Georgia. In 1979, he graduated from the Theatre and Film Georgia State University. His popularity reached its peak when he directed the feature film The Sun of the Sleepless, which was awarded the Silver Bear at Berlinale for its outstanding artistic contribution. In the late 1990's, he moved to Paris. His debut novel The Sun, The Moon and the Wheat Field has been the most bestselling book since its publication in 2018.
