Lincoln lives in a small colony on planet Graiis. When he is selected as a husband for his childhood crush, who also happens to be the princess, he feels he can finally move on from a life riddled with alcohol, girls, and grief over the execution of his father three years ago.

Braii was adopted by the ruler of the Grii when she was a child. She is grateful to her upbringing as a princess, but longs for the day when she can live among humans. In exchange for her freedom, she prepares to marry a man she doesn't love.

On the nearby planet Kayora, trouble is brewing...

A ship lands on Graiis with passengers fleeing enslavement from the Kayorians. In the process of negotiation, diplomatic relations between Graiis and Kayora take a drastic turn for the worst. Rahilius kidnaps the princess and takes her to his planet. Braii must find the strength to survive, while Lincoln works for the strength to rescue her. Meanwhile, a Southern city rebel aims to rouse an army against Rahilius.

Interplanetary war is inevitable. Love is stronger than fear. But is it strong enough to take on the Galaxy’s truest believer; the prime minister and mysterious pirate, Rahilius.
