V. L. Smith’s life has not taken the safe path. She has been in turn, a soldier, a cook/mate with over ten thousand blue-water miles in sailing yachts, a Business Analyst for software development, a member of the kayak review team for Sea Kayaker Magazine, and a massage therapy teacher. She is currently writing full time. Which is probably a good thing as it keeps her tied to the computer and not getting up to more mischief.
