What really happened in ancient times during the Great Flood? Almost all the ancient texts of the world contain dire allusions of these.

Creation has sunk into it. In such a situation the creator protects his creation. The sent or revealed man saves the creation in that apocalyptic flood under his command. Such is the story told in the Genesis section of the Old Testament of the Bible. Islam tells the same story.

Not only Jewish, Christian or Islamic scriptures, Hindu mythology, Greek mythology, ancient Mesopotamian poem 'Gilgamesh' tell about a terrible flood in the ancient world. Folklore stories of ancient civilizations in China, Hawaii, Ireland, and even South America and Africa also feature stories of this great flood. The story of Matsyabtar or fish incarnation of God in Hindu mythology says that this flood happened during the reign of a king named Manu. Manu once took a bowl of water to wash his hands and face. He saw a very small fish in that water. The fish seeks shelter from Manu. Instead he promises to save Manu from the impending doom. The fish continues to grow in size day by day. Eventually it grew so large that Manu released it into the ocean. Finally one day the Great Flood began. Manu floated along with seven sages in a boat. At such a time the great fish appeared. He takes Manu's boat to the Himalayas. Creation is saved. Since almost every civilization has accounts of the Great Flood, many people believe that there really was a great flood in ancient times. Fossils of aquatic animals are found in many places on the modern land surface. From this, Adrian Meyer, an expert in American mythology and history, believes that a flood did indeed occur at the end of the Ice Age.

Two complex questions arise from this story of the Great Flood. On the contrary Starting from Charles Darwin himself, scientist Lyell, painter Leonardo da Vinci and many others tried to dispel people's misconceptions by presenting various evidences against this great flood. The two questions are -- (1) Can the water level rise higher than the highest mountains and rain to cover the entire earth? And (2) of all the classes of animals on earth, can a pair of each of them fit in a boat?

The book categorically represents these two opposite views with reference to mythologies of China, summerian, Gilgamesh, Lusai tribes, Greek, Roman and many others.
