I graduated from Shanghai JiaoTong Medical School, formally Shanghai Second Medical University in Shanghai China. All physicians trained in China have to go through hundreds hours of Traditional Chinese Medicine training.  This is to prepare all medical doctors to be able to combine Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine in their future practice.  

After I came to the US, I went through many years of preparing for USMLE, internship and residency, today, I have been practicing pain management in California for over 20 years.  With opioid epidemic in the US, acupuncture is my first line of choice to manage pain. 

Comparing to most of pain medications, acupuncture works faster and lasts longer.  More importantly, it treats the roots of the problem.  With backgrounds both in Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine I differentiate myself from rest of pain doctors.  I feel I am the most fortunate doctor in the world because my patients get better.  Remember that the true wealth in this world is health.
