She lives in Northwest Indiana, which is not nearly as magical as it appears in her books. Despite 27 years of practice, she hasn’t quite figured out how to do life. She celebrates Halloween all year, collects stuffed animals (as in toys, not taxidermy), and likes liking things, such as water and the moon. Like her main character, Aberdeen, she feels like the world’s best-kept secret. Her dream in life is to be good at something. And as long as she’s thinking about aspirations, she wants to visit the Grand Canyon, too.
