Phil Chapman was born in Norfolk, England, in 1949, in the little village of Spixworth. His childhood was a rustic, rural one, and his close predecessors were farm workers. Memories from that simpler, more innocent time color the earlier parts of his trilogy "Medicine Fire."

Phil immigrated to America when in his early twenties. After careers in Engineering, Natural Health, and special events, he now lives in happy, married retirement in Baja California, Mexico, and in Northern California, USA. Phil spends his days playing music, writing, and crashing model airplanes.
