Does Jesus sit at the right hand of God, or is Jesus God Himself? Did God die on the cross for our sins? These are just a couple of the areas that we look at as we go through the New Testament. There are way too many places in the New Testament that tell us who Jesus is and what His mission was for this to be such a difficult subject. God, in just about every time He reveals Himself in the New Testament, repeatedly introduces Jesus as His "only begotten Son." Does God lie? Did God start His only Son's ministry with a lie? Of course not. Jesus, the Son of God, is a deity born of a virgin, the only way to God the Father, and is the greatest gift of all mankind! But the Gift is not greater than the Giver.

Clearly, I have an opinion on this subject to the extent that I wrote this book. However, it is the scriptures themselves that will inform the readers as we look with opened eyes at the many places that Jesus and the New Testament writers separate Jesus from His Father and our God. But it is important that we establish one ground rule: the Bible does not lie. In Luke, when Jesus prays "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Does He indicate separate will's, one of His and one of His Fathers?

In this book, we will explore multiple places where Jesus and the New Testament writers separate Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of mankind…but not God. We will also explore the relationship between Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the importance of when Jesus receives the Holy Spirit, as well as why we need the Holy Spirit in our lives to complete our relationship with God. The Holy Spirit will be a reoccurring subject. Understanding the significance of the Holy Spirit and the importance of when and how Jesus receives the Holy Spirit is key to understanding who Jesus is and what He gave for us. There is a reason why the second chapter of this book discusses the "Holy Spirit."

We discuss the "I am" statement as well as many other misunderstood passages of the bible such as John 1. We face the trinity, a word not found in the bible, head-on and only armed with the bible's word of God and the Godhead - a word repeatedly found in the bible! As we make our way through the scriptures, at the end of each chapter I will include more about myself, my story, and how I believe that the Holy Spirit changed my life. Hopefully, it will give you some insight as to how a relationship that started on the crack house floor ended up allowing me to receive the wisdom and revelation of the bible from the Holy Spirit through my relationship and love for Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the Son of the one living God.
