"You know, I'm really getting tired of your excuses, Mrs. Thompson. I think it's time you started earning your keep around here in other ways..."

He pressed closer, his hand snaking down until it cupped her large breast through the thin fabric of her blouse, kneading it as though he owned it, which, for all Rachel's situation, he very nearly did. She jolted with a panicked gasp, jumping back but finding herself pinned to the wall by the landlord's unyielding arm.

"Mr. Garner, please, I—I can't do this…" her voice trembled, but even as she protested, his fingers found the hem of her blouse and slipped beneath, skin-on-skin contact making her blood run cold. "I'm a mother, this isn't right—"

But Garner only laughed, a single harsh bark of sound that silenced any further objection. "Come on, Rachel. We both know why you're even answering that door in something revealing like this. You want to keep your place for the month, don't you?"
