An urban contemporary romance author, as I like to put it.

Growing up, I was very much into theatre and I have graced the stage more than a few times, but over the years, I discovered the joy in creating worlds of my own but what began as a hobby, soon grew into a passion.

Writing is like escapism for me and my overactive imagination. When I was a kid, my teachers used to call me a daydreamer, and on multiple occasions tell me to pay attention. (They put it down to my lack of ability, but I actually grew up with hearing problems.)

Well, call me a day dreamer all you want, but that imagination has got me to where I am today.

Beckinsale was born in Somerset, England, to parents who were in The Royal Navy. She has two elder brothers, who she looked up to as she grew and still does. It was her brother, Philip, who encouraged her to perform. She still lives in Somerset with her husband, Geraint.

Amy was always quiet when she was young, keeping her thoughts to herself. Many thought she was shy, but things changed and now she gets excited to share her work with the world. She has always been a dreamer and believes it is what has got her to where she is today.
