Christmas tends to make one nostalgic. It's the end of the year, it's a time when most all people are excited and happy. A time for the unexpected to be expected.

As Valarie Cain reflects in the backyard of her parent's home, she thinks of all the memories she'll be leaving behind, and all she has to gain. Her only regret:

Never confessing her feelings to the next door neighbor.

Patrick Black.

A mere fantasy that Val could only dream about, and would never speak aloud. To her, he was an untouchable wet dream that she watched from afar... until she's invited over for a night cap.

Maybe Christmas miracles do come true, even if they put you on the naughty list.

About the author

Amber Patton

What can one say about Amber Patton? To attempt to encompass it all would be to give yourself an aneurysm attempting to fit it all in your brain. Simply put, Amber is a Jill-of-all-trades. An actress, novelist, voice actor, screenwriter, producer, director, and avid film watcher, Amber loves to be creative.
Starting at the age of 5, she has always found an outlet to stand out in. Acting was the gateway that led her to write her own scenes; something that she got to explore more at the Academy of Art University where she received an Associates in Acting. The writing began in middle school where she wrote her first short story about the members of ‘Nsync drag racing, and Joey Fatone trying to win the heart of a special young lady. Soon, that led to her writing her first novel by hand. It never got a name.
It wasn’t until 2016 when she shared her first short story titled, ‘Apartment 2B’ that the idea of getting published ever crossed her mind. Dreams of being on the big screen were now sharing space in her heart for being on a bestseller’s list. Since then she’s written countless flash fiction, a handful of short stories (available on her website,) short scripts, and is currently working on her first novel with intent to publish. More to come on that soon.
Never one to have just one project going at a time, she has a short film titled, 'After Forever' out on Youtube, a podcast about actors for actors titled, 'Catching Up With You,' and a steamy novella titled, 'What I Wouldn't Do: Where It Started.' Currently available everywhere e-books are sold. The sky is the limit as she's working on more treats for you to feast your eyes on.
