Writing as JK Miller, Julia is a retired social worker turned writer. Now living on a small farm in East Central Illinois, Julia grew up in a tiny village in Southern Illinois. After earning degrees in Psychology, Counseling and Social Work, she spent over thirty years working for the State of Illinois child welfare system. In the years preceding retirement and a few afterwards, she was the co-owner and baker for a farm market business, Five Feline Farm.
