As well as creating the Busy Writer series for authors, M. R. McAlister (Marg) has been the author of online courses for writers for a major online college as well as courses available from her own website. She has also worked as a tutor, guiding new writers to publication.

She has written for adults (in several different genres) and children (various ages and levels of reading ability, mostly for educational publishers).

Marg is the author of the popular Georgie B. Goode Cozy Mystery Series (set in the USA) and of Series 2 (Australian RV Adventure Series, also featuring Georgie.)

Her publishing business features authors in a range of genres: historical romance, contemporary romance, paranormal (haunted house) thrillers and westerns.
