R L Dunn
R.L. (Robin) Dunn was born and raised in the stunningly attractive community of Sea Cliff, New York State. She studied at Stony Brook University, where she attained a BS in Biological Sciences and went on to become an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, once delivering a baby in a supermarket. Her career path continued to become one of the first female Certified Instructor Coordinators on Long Island. Robin continued to break down barriers becoming a First Deputy Chief Instructor and Regional EMS faculty for the state of New York. She still lives in Sea Cliff today, with her family, their Labrador and two cats.
Unfortunately, she was forced to give up her job after a debilitating illness made it impossible to perform her role. This meant that she had to find something else to fill her days. Having always had a love of writing, Robin returned to creating stories, first as part of her post-stroke therapy and coping with the loss of a beloved career and now as a way of life. She is a member of the Romance Authors of America and is the author of Blood Obsession, written at a time when she was given just little chance of survival. Amazing her doctors to be able to write her second book, Secure Desire.
When she has some time to herself, Robin loves reading, cooking, listening to music and enjoys getting out and about on her scooter. She is also an active internet and phone, volunteer, devoting time and energy to supporting and raising funds for childhood cancer research and as a patient advocate for Lupus sufferers.
As far as the future goes, Robin hopes that she can continue to live a life worth living and would like to leave something that she will be remembered for. She sees writing more books as being a way to fulfil this dream and hopes to write many more in the future.
