Fae. Servant. Unworthy.

Being a half-Fae teen in the Witch stronghold of Grimm Hollow, I am little more than a slave. Ash, that’s what they call me. I’m the outlier, the outcast. The green-tarnished girl that they refuse to claim, yet keep under their heel.

My mother’s love for a Fae was a betrayal of her coven. At least, that’s how they saw it. Having me pushed them past the edge, and in a fit of rage, my only parent was killed. But no one knows that. They believe my guardian, the Witch Elder Gloria, who says my mother died by her own hand. Only, I know the truth.

Now, I can’t help but see the irony as my guardian sets her daughter—and protégé—to win the affections of a Fae prince who appears in town. I’m not sure why he’s here, or what Gloria has planned for him, but I know it’s not good.

Rivan is arrogant and charming and though he refuses to heed my warnings, he’s wormed his way into my little half-Fae heart and I’ll do whatever it takes to protect him.

Even if I end up like my mother.
