I know exactly how I got here. Growing up, and navigating high school isn’t easy, especially when you have a reputation to protect. Learning who to trust, and making new enemies, often felt like walking through a minefield.

Sure, I had my brothers who were sometimes more like parents than siblings. So annoying. But that didn’t make anything easy. Especially not for a sassy, mouthy, take-no-shit-girl like me.

A string of events no one my age should have to deal with is how I got here. Standing on the edge, with a choice that, once made, can never be undone. My crown has toppled from my head too many times to count and, this time, I don’t know if there’s any coming back.

This book was previously published as West End Montana under the pen name of N.M. McGregor and has been re-titled, given a new cover, been re-edited, and parts of the book have been changed from the original story.
