Interview with the Author What makes the Real Men Military Romance series special?  

I write what I love to read! I adore witty banter, sass, lots of surprises, as well as action and adventure, and deep emotion that isn’t easily resolved.  And military men, back living in civilian life…swoon!  I love alphas as well as a great beta, men who have learned how to love and for whom being strong protectors of their women is just second nature. These sexy men really draw me in. They’re real men who have deep feelings, mess up at times but for whom nobility—and redemption, when necessary, is a way of life.

I also love romance series where you get to meet the whole cast in upcoming novels, one by one, and learn their stories! I thoroughly enjoy Virgin River by Robyn Carr, and thought it would be great to write a Canadian series set in the north in a small town, with wonderful characters. Jack’s Bay, northern Ontario, Terrence Point, British Columbia and Refuge Bay are the worlds I’ve created that I love, and that I really hope readers will love too, and keep coming back to.

I also adore the small towns that Sheryl Woods writes, though make no mistake-almost all of my books (except for a couple) have some racy, sexy language! Small town romance with quirky characters and great secondary characters really make me happy, and I routinely fall in love with these characters! I also binge military romance and special ops heroes. I love the strong protectors that Lisa Marie Rice writes (and all her books), as well as Susan Stoker. I like to think my books are a mashup of all these wonderful tropes.

What is special about Real Deep?   Strong emotion, surprises and the eternal question: If you were stranded on a deserted tropical island with your ex, unexpectedly…where would you end up? And if he had to make a choice between you and him in a dangerous situation…what would he choose? And with that parting question, I’ll leave you! Thank you for being interested in my books!
