Steven Simon, Ph.D. is President, CEO and a career consultant with Human Services Outcomes, Inc. His private practice focuses on mid-career issues of professional and skilled workers. Dr. Simon has a doctoral degree in counseling from Kent State University and a master’s in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Florida. He has over 45 years of experience as a career counselor; counseling psychologist, supervisory psychologist, and business leader specializing in career and job issues; as a manager of career and job programs for veterans; and as an adjunct graduate school faculty member at Kent State University, The Ohio State University, DePaul University, and the University of South Florida. He has extensive experience in the workings of large and small organizations at all levels. In addition to his private practice, to date Dr. Simon has provided vocational expert testimony in over 15,000 Social Security disability hearings. Most of those cases involved claimants in mid-career and beyond. Dr.Simon is licensed as a professional counselor in several states, is a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), is a professional member of the National Career Development Association, and is a life member of the American Psychological Association.
