I've never been one of those women to have a hobby. As a mother of two, one of which has cerebral palsy, there was never any time for hobbies. Between therapies and doctors’ appointments and full-time care, hobbies were not something I had time for. During the lockdown of the pandemic, therapy offices were closed, schools were closed, and doctors’ appointments turned into video calls; I suddenly found myself with a lot of time on my hands. I had been reading different novels when something just clicked, and I decided to try writing. For as long as I could remember, I have been able to develop stories out of thin air, create characters, plots, settings; the whole nine yards. I just never actually sat down and put pen to paper. I kept my stories locked away, hoped I wasn't crazy and went on about my daily life. But when I started writing for the first time, the words just seemed to flow right out of me. The story, the characters, the plot, all of it seemed to just be right there on the tip of my tongue and as fast as I could type, was as fast as it was coming out. I was absolutely amazed by what was happening. I decided to put my story on a website for amateur authors, and the response I received was unbelievable. I was encouraged by the readers and their comments that I continued writing. My husband and I would stay up all hours of the night, talking about plots, or talking about character or developing an ending. The story truly took on a life of its own and became so much more than I could have ever imagined. What I thought was going to be just twenty or thirty chapters, turned into over fifty chapters, and set itself up for a sequel. This whole process has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done, and I can’t wait to finish the next books in the series. I hope you all enjoy book 1 of the Geno
Family Series!!

Love to all!
