K.L. Hallam lives in New York City and writes across genres, stories that integrate complex family dynamics, social injustice, and environmental preservation, and often about characters who rise out of oppression by learning to trust the strength they had within themselves all along.

When she's not writing, she divides her time between her family, which includes Stella, a Mastiff-Pix mix, and Kali, an orange tabby, working as a floral designer, learning more about botany, and being active in local human rights organizations.
