It has been the desire of my life to become a witness of Jesus the Christ and to experience the power of His love, first in me and then to the world. I believe that only by experiencing or witnessing Him will the truth be revealed to us. It is not the truth of theologians or scholars that I seek; it is Him who is the truth that I must know.
The purpose of true revelation is to know Him and His power and not to receive a greater intellectual understanding of the Bible. Because the Bible contains the knowledge necessary for life and godliness then it will follow that a much greater understanding of its contents will come when following Him. I believe we must constantly remind ourselves that we have not been instructed to follow the Bible to find Christ, but rather have been instructed to follow Christ, and through this relationship, the Bible will come to be properly understood.
