Mary Ellen Gambutti is an independent author of personal stories and several memoirs. A horticulturist, long retired from designing and caring for gardens, she writes how old estates taught her that landscapes hold time and memory. Her essays and Japanese poetry have been published in many literary journals. Mary Ellen Gambutti also writes and publishes literary fiction under the pen name Islay Corwin.
