Our Chinese Christian brother wrote this outstanding book as a brilliant character study based upon the living examples of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God claimed to be the God of all three, and therefore, they must still hold important life lessons for all Christians on which to reflect. Nee carefully reveals to us God’s desire to build for Himself a people even for today.

Concerning Abraham, Nee walks us through the promises of God, and how God is always the Initiator, the Originator, and the Father of everything the people of God receive. The study about Abraham examines the meat of New Covenant doctrine with practical matters for living in submission to Christ.

Concerning Isaac, Nee explains that God’s people always receive from the Father. Isaac inherited from his father, and God’s people inherit from our Father because of what Christ has done for us. In Isaac, we discover God’s gift, and how the Son of God provides everything for us.

Concerning Jacob, we find Nee’s responsible exegesis about the struggle between the flesh and the Spirit of God—wrestling and coming away limping for a new way to walk in the Lord.

In these three men of God, through whom He chose to begin His Chosen People, we find the answers to a full Christian life—the promise of God, the enjoyment of Christ, and the transformation of the Spirit.

Praise God for Nee and his influential life in China, and now here. So far, I haven’t read anything but 5-star studies by Nee that have changed or enhanced my Christian walk. Check them out!--David Telbat [NOTE: This particular book is the Kindle version, but there is also a paperback version.]
