In a different life, I was a professional gardener, the kind who got dirt under their nails and knew the Latin names for perennials and shrubs -- even weeds. Most of my writing years, as Mary Ellen Gambutti, have been spent in memoir and personal essays, always drawn to that quiet place where the human heart meets the green world.  This book is step sideways into the dew-lit realm where mulch becomes myth, and gates don't always lead where you expect. The Garden Between Worlds is my fiction debut, written as Islay Corwin, and woven together with plant lore, memory, and the shimmer just beyond the visible. I hope you find a path here.
