S.M. Cato is the non-magical alter-ego of PNR/urban fantasy author, Sionna Trenz. S.M. writes contemporary romance. Anything from light to dark, sweet to spicy. But the only magic to be found in these books is the kind that happens to us all when we fall head over heels in love.
I’m a Western New York girl, born and raised in the 716. A huge fan of action/adventure movies and comedies, plus I’m a sucker for the musicals of Hollywood’s Golden Age, as well as film noir. Visiting new places is one of my favorite things to do, and I try to pick up a picture frame from everywhere I’ve been.
While I write romance, I read just about every genre, and I’m a big mood reader. I love nothing more than stumbling across an intriguing book in the bookstore or on my e-reader, discovering a new world and falling in love with new characters. But I’m kind of contrary, because if someone tells me I “have” to read a certain book, it pretty much guarantees that I won’t. At least, not until the urge to rebel fades.
About the only channels I watch on T.V. are Discovery, History, Travel, and Science. Yes, I’m kind of a nerd and can usually be counted on to come up with some iota of useless trivia or a corny joke. I also laugh at pretty much anything, and consider it core exercise.
Why the wine glass in my logo? I can drive an hour north, an hour south, or an hour east and stumble across wine country. My alter ego might love cocktails and mocktails, but I’m all about the wine.
