John C. Winchell was born and raised in the Southeastern US. In 1986, his family moved to Cape Cod, MA. After high school, he attended UMass-Amherst and graduated with a BA in Journalism. Poetry has been a part of John's paradigm since 2001. At first he utilized it as a cathartic vent to help mitigate the trials of life. Over time, though, his writing has evolved into an essential outlet for self-expression and therapeutic release. So far, John has officially self-published two poetry collections: Emotional Fissures in 2009 and Inner Pathways in 2023. As a function of necessity, he continues writing to this very day.
