Colt is a dhampir, and despite his human father’s hopes that he would miss out on his royal blood, his mother’s genetics are starting to show up. He says he’s a danger to everyone around him.

But when I find him near death and in pain from the transformation overtaking his body, I risk it all to help him fight through the pain. For my troubles, I get a slight graze of his fangs before he can stop himself.
Now, we’re both basically vampires. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing, considering the royal vampire family is coming into town to fight off a moon-mad werewolf and start a supernatural war.
Being together again is stirring up old feelings and complicating our already toxic relationship. But we don’t have time for that kind of stuff. We need to learn to control our newfound powers and find a way to stop the war before it ends up destroying everything we’ve ever cared about.
Including… each other.
