Can a chance encounter on a wildfire lead to true love under the midnight sun?

Tara Waters loves being a wildland firefighter and the adrenaline rush of fighting wildfires is her calling. She must be on her game to join an elite hotshot crew in Montana. Troubled from a tragedy on a wildfire, Tara is reassigned to fight fire in Alaska, and her dream of being on a hotshot crew falls out of reach.

Sexy Alaskan smokejumper, Ryan O'Connor takes Tara under his wing and counsels her when she fails to save someone on a wildfire. She owes him one, but not her heart just because of his irresistible charm and good looks. Ryan has his own story with plenty of demons in his past. And Tara may be the spark his life needs.

But when a sinister rival sabotages Tara on the fire line, she discovers a threat far more dangerous than fire—a threat that can destroy everything she's worked for and her second chance for a love that could be extinguished before it ignites.

Romance, sabotage, and fire...one explosive mix!

About the author

LoLo Paige

Who knows where real-life adventures will lead? Living in The Land of the Midnight Sun is the place for such adventure. In 2015, The Anchorage Press published a short, nonfiction story about the author’s narrow escape while wildland firefighting. The following year, Embers of Memories won an Alaska Press Club award for best historical piece in all media. One of the judges suggested turning it into a novel. Four years later, the suggestion became reality.

In 2019, ALASKA SPARK won the honor of being a finalist in the Romance Writers of America, Wisconsin Chapter, Fab Five novel contest, competing with writers from around the country. It went on to win three awards for Independent Publishing in 2020 and 2021. While these books are works of fiction, they’re loosely based on true life events and the author’s experience as a wildland firefighter. She has lived in Alaska most of her life. Early in her federal career, she worked as a wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, having fought fires in Montana, California, and Alaska.
